DE WILDT CHEETAH LODGE
A WILDLIFE EXPERIENCE WITH A DIFFERENCE
Drink sundowners with the freckled nightjar, enjoy delicious home-cooked dinners under a canopy of stars with jackals as your nocturnal companions, awake to the sound of the red chested cuckoo and spend an exciting day with cheetahs and wild dogs.
The world renowned De Wildt Cheetah and Wildlife Centre has opened a delightful lodge. Tucked away behind the Centre is a beautiful stone lodge boasting nine uniquely decorated en-suite rooms.
Conveniently situated within close proximity to both Pretoria and Johannesburg and en-route to Sun City, this lodge is not to be missed.
De Wildt offers you the opportunity to learn more about fascinating creatures such as the wild dog, cheetah and various species of owls and vultures. You can also read more about the humble beginnings of what has become one of the world's foremost institutions on captive breeding of cheetah.
Nestled in the foothills of the Magaliesberg in South Africa's North West Province, the De Wildt Cheetah Research Centre is situated an hour from Johannesburg and forty-five minutes from Pretoria. It is close to the Hartbeespoort Dam, a popular destination for day excursions from Pretoria and Johannesburg.
